Position: Project Manager- Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling -Pilot Plant Setup

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Techno-Commercial professional to lead the development of our lithium-ion battery recycling plant in India. The role involves preparing detailed project reports, conducting feasibility studies, providing technology selection guidance, and strategizing supply chain management (SCM) for long-term business sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Job Description: Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling Project Manager (Techno-Commercial Expert)

Project Development:

- Lead the preparation of detailed project reports (DPR), including cost estimates, timelines, resource allocation, and technology roadmaps.

- Conduct feasibility studies to analyze market size, business risks, and financial viability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for approvals, compliance, and resource acquisition.

Technology & Process Advisory:

- Evaluate and recommend the most suitable recycling technologies (e.g., hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, direct recycling).

- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in battery recycling processes and materials recovery.

- Liaise with global technology providers for licensing and setting up technology partnerships.

Business Strategy & Long-Term Outlook:

- Develop a long-term business outlook for the recycling plant, including revenue forecasts and expansion strategies.

- Identify opportunities for collaboration with battery manufacturers, EV producers, and technology innovators.

Supply Chain Management (SCM):

- Design and advise on supply chain strategies for raw material sourcing (used batteries), logistics, and inventory management.

- Establish networks with e-waste suppliers, OEMs, and government entities for consistent supply flow.

- Optimize recycling workflows to achieve cost efficiency and environmental compliance.

Regulatory & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to government policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards for battery recycling plants.

- Assist in securing necessary licenses, permits, and approvals.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science. MBA in Operations or Business Strategy is a plus.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in lithium-ion battery recycling, energy storage, or related domains.

- Proven experience in preparing feasibility studies, project reports, and SCM strategies.

- Sound knowledge of battery chemistries, material recovery processes, and global recycling technologies.
