Project Manager/ Site In Charge

Role & responsibilities :

We are seeking an experienced Manager for our Projects division with expertise in coal handling plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, coupled with extensive experience in managing projects related to coal handling plants. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a focus on coordinating operations and maintenance activities for smooth functioning.

• Project Management: Lead and oversee all aspects of coal handling plant projects, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to coordinate project activities, including engineering, procurement, commissioning, to ensure seamless execution.

• Technical Expertise: Apply extensive knowledge of coal handling plant equipment, processes, and industry best practices to provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges.

• Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency and productivity.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure safety and compliance with applicable regulations.

• Client Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients by understanding their requirements, addressing concerns promptly, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders, to facilitate effective communication and project tracking.

Preferred candidate profile

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from initiation to closure.Strong technical knowledge of coal handling plant equipment, processes, and maintenance practices.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management tools .Willingness to travel as required for project assignments.
