Role Overview:
As the Program Manager - Retention, you will play a key role in optimizing partner margins, analyzing insurer grids, and standardizing retention processes. You will be responsible for data-driven decision-making to ensure that insurance partners, segment pricing, and business volumes are aligned to maximize profitability and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Retention & Margin Optimization:
- Define the ideal margin at a highly granular level across RTO X Segment X Insurer X Partner Location X Partner Type X Monthly Business Volume.
- Evaluate grid changes from insurers and determine which insurer needs to be pushed at what rate for optimal profitability.
- Standardize grid structures for faster in-rate receipt and out-rate delivery. Market &
Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct competitor benchmarking to analyze incumbents, regional players, and market trends.
- Identify and evaluate local and regional insurers' strategies, pricing models, and market positioning.
Product & Process Improvement:
- Own product delivery & process efficiency for faster turnaround time in grid rollouts.
- Implement automation and optimization strategies to enhance grid accuracy and reduce delays.
- Ensure field escalations regarding zero or incorrect payouts are resolved effectively.
What We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience in program management, strategy, or retention roles in insurance, fintech, or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills, with expertise in pricing models, segmentation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in managing insurer relationships, evaluating rate grids, and driving process standardization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with dynamic business needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and execution skills.
