Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Scheduling:
   
• Develop and implement production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and material availability.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics departments to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
• Monitor the production flow to meet deadlines and maintain consistent product output.

1. Team Management:
   
• Supervise and lead a team of operators, technicians, and production staff to achieve production goals.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for the production team.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure staff adhere to safety and quality standards.

1. Quality Assurance:
   
• Collaborate with the quality control department to ensure products meet the required specifications and standards.
• Identify and address any quality issues or production defects promptly.
• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to maintain consistent product quality.
2. Equipment & Maintenance:
   
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of printing machines and other production equipment.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or technical issues promptly.
3. Process Improvement:
   
• Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques and other process optimization methodologies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, scrap rates, and machine uptime.
4. Cost Management:
   
• Monitor and control production costs, ensuring adherence to budgets.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs through process improvements, equipment upgrades, or better resource utilization.
• Ensure efficient use of raw materials, energy, and labor.
5. Health & Safety Compliance:
   
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Promote a safe working environment and encourage safety awareness among all employees.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
   
• Prepare and submit regular production reports, including performance metrics, issues encountered, and improvements made.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and compliance documentation.
• Report on production performance to senior management and participate in strategic planning.
7. Customer Focus:
   
• Ensure customer specifications and requirements are understood and met in the manufacturing process.
• Address customer complaints and feedback related to production quality or timelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
  
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management, preferably in the manufacturing or printing machine industry.
• Proven experience managing production teams, improving processes, and optimizing manufacturing operations.

• Skills:
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices in the printing machine industry.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with occasional overtime required to meet production deadlines.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial machinery, noise, and other physical conditions.
• Standing and walking for extended periods may be required.
• Regular interaction with cross-functional teams and senior management.
