Head - Foreign Exchange & Commodities Risk Management (10-17 yrs)

Job description:

- To strategise hedging foreign exchange, interest rate and commodities risks for India and overseas subsidiaries (Cover currencies like INR, GBP, Euro, CAD, SGD, THB, MYR and SEK). Coordinate and work with group companies in India and overseas subsidiaries (in their time zones) in formulating and updating risk management policies. Work on digitisation initiatives and create proper risk reporting structures.

1) Strategise hedging foreign exchange and interest rate exposure TSL India operations and overseas subsidiaries. Track currencies like INR, GBP, Euro, SEK, SGD, CAD, MYR, THB. Foreign exposure size: ~ USD 15 Billion

2)Liase with the CFOs of Indian subsidiaries and Treasurer of overseas subsidiaries, discuss the information requirement and hedging strategies

3)Formulate and update Fx and interest rate risk management policies in line with regulations and the changing market dynamics

4)Drive digitisation initiatives and create MIS reporting structures

5)Track the commodities to which TSL India and overseas subsidiaries are exposed to. Create/modify risk management policies and standard operating procedures. Implement/modify risk control matrix

6)Bank relationship management

7)Train and motivate the team for implementing new hedging structures and market strategies. Track accounting of hedge structures and variance analysis of hedge settlements

Skills:

- Prior experience in foreign exchange, money markets and commodities preferably with a large corporate treasury in India for 10-15 years

Technical Competencies:

- Understanding of the foreign exchange, interest rate and commodities market and the inter-play between these markets

- Experience of handling cross currency trades

- Hedging techniques

- Very good understanding of Macro Economic environment

- Data Analysis

- Expertise on Bloomberg and Reuters

- Knowledge of Technical Analysis
