Backend Django Developer

Role & responsibilities

Develop & optimize scalable APIs using Django Rest Framework (DRF) for handling large-scale IoT sensor data.

Optimize PostgreSQL performance, implementing indexing, partitioning, and TimescaleDB for efficient time-series data retrieval.

Implement & manage Celery & Redis for background task processing and distributed

Improve API response times and system scalability for real-time applications.

Integrate & manage MQTT-based real-time sensor data ingestion pipelines.

Develop new API features ensuring security, robustness, and efficiency.

Collaborate with DevOps & Data Engineers to ensure high system performance and

Preferred candidate profile

3+ years of experience with Django, PostgreSQL, and high-throughput APIs.

Expertise in time-series data optimization (indexing, partitioning, TimescaleDB).

Hands-on experience with Celery, Redis, and AWS services.

Strong understanding of MQTT protocol & IoT data ingestion.

Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Django.

A passion for scalable, high-performance backend systems in IoT & real-time data environments.
