An Accounts Manager is a key member of the finance team responsible for overseeing accounts & financial transac,ons, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accoun,ng principles and regula,ons. The Accounts Manager plays a crucial role in managing the companys financial health and suppor,ng strategic decision-making.
Financial Repor,ng: Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
Budge,ng and Forecas,ng: Develop and manage the companys budgets and financial forecasts. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate budge,ng and cost control.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments and collec,ons. Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with clients and vendors as needed.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger account, Statutory Accounts thoroughly and reconcile with details available from Ensure all financial transac,ons are accurately recorded and appropriately classified.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to iden,fy trends, variances, and opportuni,es for improvement. Provide insighQul recommenda,ons to enhance financial performance.
Audi,ng and Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with accoun,ng standards, tax regula,ons, and company policies. Prepare for and coordinate audits with external auditors.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the companys cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for day-to-day opera,ons and long-term growth.
Payroll Management: Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and ,mely payments to employees and compliance with payroll-related regula,ons.
Financial Systems and SoUware: U,lize and maintain accoun,ng soUware and financial management systems effec,vely. Iden,fy opportuni,es to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of accountants and finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evalua,ons.
Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the companys goals and objec,ves.
Risk Management: Iden,fy financial risks and implement appropriate internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Accoun,ng, Finance, or a related field. A masters degree or professional cer,fica,on (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Proven experience as an Accounts Manager or in a similar financial management role for 3-4 years.
Through updated knowledge of accoun,ng principles, financial regula,ons, and repor,ng standards.
