Role Description:
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Manager at PPG Asian Paints located in Kurla.
- The Finance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations.
Job Description: Accounts Payable & Fixed Assets Management (Manager)
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Team: 3 direct reports
Qualifications:
- Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Management, and Capex Project Monitoring.
- Accounts Payable Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Handle queries from internal users and coordinate with the Shared Service Center (SSC) to resolve issues, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Vendor Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor accounts and confirm balances.
- Payment Efficiency: Maintain high levels of payment efficiency.
- This is also include scrutiny of vendor balance, coordination with the various function including of plant accounts team.
- Financial Support: Provide necessary data and analysis to support audit and finance teams.
- Employee Claims: Review employee reimbursement claims.
- Capex Project Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Review: Review ACT/Capex budgets to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Financial Justification: Validate financial justifications for Capex projects.
- Approval Documentation: Ensure all necessary Capex approval documentation is in place.
- Budget Tracking: Track budget vs. actual performance (BVA) for Capex projects.
- Project Closure: Coordinate with project owners to ensure timely project closure.
- Fixed Asset Accounting
Key Responsibilities: Review with the team
- Fixed Asset Register (FAR): Ensure the accuracy of the FAR, including rate, classification, and relevant details.
- Open POs & GRNs: Track and ensure timely closure of open purchase orders (POs) and goods received notes (GRNs).
- Advance Processing: Process advances based on supporting documents (e.g , ABG, Proforma Invoice, Advance Receipt Voucher).
- Invoice Retention: Retain invoices as per commercial terms.
- ABG & PBG Tracking: review of advance bank guarantees (ABGs) and performance bank guarantees (PBGs).
- Capex Accounting: Manage and control the Capex accounting process.
- CWIP Movement: Monitor and manage Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) movement.
- Asset Creation: Ensure accurate creation and classification of assets in the system.
- Monthly Depreciation: Oversee monthly depreciation calculations.
- FAR Correctness: Ensure the accuracy of the fixed asset register.
- CWIP Reporting: Monitor and review the CWIP report.
- Asset Additions & Deletions: review monthly reports on asset additions and deletions.
- Asset Deletion: Ensure proper supporting documentation (e.g, CEO/CFO approvals) for asset disposals.
- Asset Transfers: Oversee asset transfers, ensuring proper justification and approvals.
- Quarterly Reports: Prepare quarterly capital transaction reports for PPG.
- FAR Preparation (USGAAP): Review and ensure FAR is prepared as per USGAAP.
- Yearly Asset Confirmation: Conduct yearly asset confirmation exercises.
Reporting:
Key Responsibilities:
- MSME Compliance: Ensure timely compliance with MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) regulations.
- Monthly RPT Reporting: Ensure timely preparation and submission of related party transactions (RPT) reports.
- Accounts Review Mechanism (ARM) on monthly basis
- Crucial role in SOX and IFC compliances and support in statutory and internal audit
- Expenses and budget for inter company related trasnaction
Team Management:
- The Manager will oversee a team of 3 direct reports, providing guidance and ensuring that all deliverables are met in a timely manner.
- This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional capable of handling financial reviews, ensuring compliance, and managing a team effectively
