Job Description: Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
• Perform routine accounting tasks such as invoicing, reconciliation, and data entry (daily, weekly, and monthly).
• Reconcile accounts regularly, including bank accounts, petty cash, and general ledger.
• Process payments, manage accounts payable/receivable, and prepare monthly payroll.
• Assist in preparing tax returns, audits, and financial reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, reporting discrepancies to management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting to improve financial performance.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to support other departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, standards, and tax laws.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
