Role Overview:
The Sales Head/VP is responsible for leading the entire sales function, including the Sales and Post-Sales Teams, within the B2B Office Automation Company. This role demands a strategic leader who can drive sales growth, manage key client relationships, and oversee the efficient functioning of the sales operations to meet revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall sales strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and create strategies to penetrate these markets.
- Drive revenue growth through the development of sales plans, setting performance targets, and managing the sales pipeline.
2. Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales and Post-Sales teams, ensuring the teams are motivated and equipped to achieve sales targets.
- Establish clear roles and responsibilities within the teams and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Implement ongoing training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the salesforce.
3. Key Account Management:
- Oversee the management of key client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Act as an escalation point for critical client issues, working closely with the Post-Sales team to resolve them efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
4. Sales Operations & Performance Management:
- Oversee sales operations to ensure efficient lead management, accurate sales forecasting, and timely reporting.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs, providing regular updates to the executive team.
- Implement and optimize CRM systems and other tools to streamline sales processes and improve team productivity.
5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with the cross fucntional teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Collaborate with the Finance department to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.
- Participate in executive meetings, contributing to company-wide decision-making and strategic planning.
6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Utilize market insights to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and foster new business relationships.
7. Revenue & Profitability Management:
- Drive initiatives to maximize sales revenue and profitability across all product lines and services.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Work with the product team to influence product development based on market demand and customer feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the B2B technology or office automation sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable sales plans.
- Proficient in CRM and sales analytics tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
