Footwear Business Head / Operations Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations of the new shoe factory, ensuring efficient production and smooth day-to-day operations
• Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability
• Lead the operations team, including production, quality control, supply chain, and logistics departments
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure production targets are met and quality standards are maintained
• Manage budgets, forecast production costs, and optimize resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Sales, to achieve business objectives
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and customers
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity
• Report directly to senior management on operational performance and provide insights for business development

Preferred candidate profile

• Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing or footwear industry
• Proven track record in leading and managing large teams
• Strong knowledge of production processes, supply chain management, and quality control
• Experience with budget management, financial planning, and cost optimization
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of local labor laws, safety regulations, and compliance standards
• Experience in setting up new operations or factories is a plus
