The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and External Reporting will play a critical role in managing and overseeing our financial operations. This includes ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the onboarding of acquisitions. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Accounting

Provide technical accounting guidance and document conclusions on complex issues, including but not limited to debt, business combinations, consolidations, and leases.
Review new Accounting Standards Updates (ASUs) issued by the FASB and assist with their implementation as needed.
Update process documents and narratives for internal controls documentation.

External Reporting

Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, as well as management and lender reporting requirements.
Manage external auditors during the annual audit and statutory audits, addressing audit inquiries as they arise.
Perform other reporting tasks as assigned

Other Tasks

Assist with acquisition accounting, including drafting technical accounting conclusions, collaborating with valuation specialists, preparing opening entries, and developing post-transaction accounting workflows.
Complete ad hoc projects as assigned by the VP, Corporate Controller.

Candidate Expertise Required

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong understanding of GAAP, and internal controls. Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting is a plus.
Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to adapt to new challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or equivalent certification required.
Minimum of 5-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in technical accounting and financial reporting roles.
Experience in the SaaS industry is preferred.
A combination of Big Four or public company experience is highly preferable.
Experience in technical accounting and financial close and reporting.
Experience in managing external audits
