Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation/Manual Testing (5-12 yrs)

Skills Required :

- Networking experience

- Someone with CCNP certification,

- Knowledge of IGPs (OSPF, ISIS), BGP, BGP-MPLS-VPNs, BGP-LU, Flowspec, Netflow, MPLS-TE, SNMP, gRPC etc.

- 5-12 years of experience in software testing, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality products.

- Expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, etc.).

- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and their application in testing.

- Experience with mobile application testing (iOS, Android) and mobile test automation tools.

Key Responsibilities :

- Need to know Linux platform

- Ability to analyze logs and alarms from Linux environments.

- Shell scripting experience this is important

- Write test cases and execute them properly

- GitHub usage for comparing files

- SQL/DBA and REST API experience.

- Ensuring data collections occur on defined schedule.

- Confirming database tables are being updated based on defined schedule.

- Test external db access and REST API access.

- Test Grafana visualizations and alerting

- Experience in testing UI/UX functionality

- Networking experience, someone with CCNP certification, knowledge of IGPs (OSPF, ISIS), BGP, BGP-MPLS-

VPNs, BGP-LU, Flowspec, Netflow, MPLS-TE, SNMP, gRPC etc.

- Lead end-to-end testing efforts for software applications, from requirement analysis to final product release.

- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring full test coverage and adherence

to project specifications.

- Oversee and execute both manual and automated testing (unit, integration, regression, performance, and

user acceptance testing).

- Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating closely with developers and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks, improving efficiency in test execution.

- Conduct performance, load, and stress testing for high-traffic applications.

Job summary :

This individual should be able to act as a lead in the role, working with App teams and SEs to develop and execute test plans. This role will not be a member of a larger testing group, they will be self-driven to perform testing across multiple applications that are being developed and updated across teams. The majority of the work will be manual and not automated, testing software updates, connectivity, API responses, etc
