Summary of Role

This particular role of Data Analyst in our central BI team plays a crucial role in empowering data-driven decision-making across the company for all games, including critical analytics support for our Finance team. We are a dynamic and collaborative team, responsible for developing and maintaining the company's business intelligence infrastructure, providing insightful reporting and analysis, and supporting users across the organization. This role will focus on supporting the Finance team's Data Analytics needs, contributing to important projects and developing your skills in data analysis and financial reporting within a BI context.

What are we looking for?

Position Title: Data Analyst- Apprentice.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load financial data from various source systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, spreadsheets) into the data warehouse, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Design and implement data models optimized for financial analysis, considering key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements.
• Create and automate interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize financial data and provide insights on key metrics such as revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
• Conduct data quality checks and validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reports and dashboards, proactively identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
• Support the Finance team in performing ad-hoc analyses by providing them with access to relevant data and tools, and assisting with data interpretation.
• Document data sources, ETL processes, data models, and reports related to financial data, maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base for the Finance BI domain.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Finance BI environment by identifying opportunities to optimize data processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and adopt new technologies.
• Stay informed about industry best practices in business intelligence and financial analysis, proactively seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving financial data, collaborating with other teams to deliver data-driven insights that support business objectives. Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and trend identification.

Job Specifications

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT or relevant field from Top Colleges
• Good knowledge in Data warehousing, Data modeling techniques, NoSQL and SQL databases
• Good understanding of different types of File Formats.
• Good Knowledge of Python and SQL query writing
• Good understanding of Big Data, RDBMS and Cloud Computing concepts
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong problem Solving Skills - Ability to find the root cause of issues and provide solutions.
• Smart, self motivated, quick learner and team oriented.
