Job Description: Senior Software Engineer - Java Lead (Spring Boot Focus, SaaS)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead our Spring Boot development efforts for our SaaS platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance Spring Boot applications that power our SaaS offerings. Your deep understanding of Spring Boot's ecosystem, including Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud, will be crucial in delivering exceptional SaaS solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spring Boot Expertise:
• Design, develop, and deploy Spring Boot applications using best practices.
• Leverage Spring Boot's core features, including auto-configuration, dependency

injection, and starter POMs.

• Implement RESTful APIs using Spring MVC or Spring WebFlux.
• Secure Spring Boot applications using Spring Security, considering SaaS-specific security requirements.
• Integrate with databases using Spring Data JPA or Spring Data JDBC, ensuring data isolation and security.
• Utilize Spring Batch for batch processing and scheduling, optimizing for SaaS environments.
• Implement microservices architectures with Spring Cloud, considering factors like scalability, resilience, and multi-tenancy.

SaaS Development:

• Design and develop SaaS-ready applications, considering factors like multi-tenancy, data isolation, and scalability.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect sensitive data.
• Optimize performance and resource utilization to meet SaaS service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure data privacy and security compliance, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Design Patterns and System Design:
• Apply design patterns effectively to solve complex software design problems.
• Design and architect scalable and resilient software systems.
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into detailed system designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the overall system architecture.

Code Review and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices.
• Provide constructive feedback to developers to improve code quality and efficiency.
• Identify potential issues and propose improvements to the codebase.

Database Design and Optimization:

• Design efficient and optimized database schemas, considering SaaS data isolation and security.
• Write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.
• Collaborate with database administrators to ensure database health and performance.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

• Mentor and guide team members on Spring Boot best practices and development techniques.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and problem-solving.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Spring Framework.
• Deep understanding of Spring Boot's core concepts and modules.
• Experience with Spring Data JPA, Spring Data JDBC, Spring Security, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design (RDBMS, Redis)
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS is mandatory, GCP, Azure is a plus).
• Understanding of SaaS architecture principles, including multi-tenancy, security, and scalability.
