Planning Manager

Role & responsibilities

Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop detailed project schedules using appropriate software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Coordinate and define the scope of work, milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Establish and maintain the project baseline schedule and monitor changes or delays.

Resource Allocation:

• Collaborate with the project management team to allocate resources efficiently and ensure the availability of necessary personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure that resources are optimized for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Budget and Cost Control:

• Work closely with the project finance team to develop cost estimates and monitor the financial health of the project.
• Ensure the project is progressing within budget and recommend corrective actions if necessary.

Progress Reporting:

• Provide regular updates to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders regarding the status of the project, including any deviations from the schedule or budget.
• Develop and deliver presentations and reports that communicate project progress, challenges, and changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Education:
   
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required).
• Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, AACE) or Planning Software (e.g., Primavera) is a plus.

• Technical Skills:
  
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, timelines, and methodologies.
• Experience in risk management, budget tracking, and reporting.
• Experience in Planning, Billing, Scheduling, Costing, Estimation.
