Position: Placement Executive

Job Summary:
Chandigarh University is seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and result-oriented Placement Executive to be a part of its Placement and Career Services team. The Placement Executive will be responsible for facilitating placements for students, building strong relationships with recruiters, managing career development activities, and assisting students in their career preparation and transition from academia to industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Placement Coordination:
• Actively engage with corporate recruiters and hiring managers to arrange campus placement drives for students.
• Liaise between students, academic departments, and recruiters to ensure smooth placement processes.
• Coordinate interviews, pre-placement talks, and other recruitment activities for students.
• Employer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential corporate partners, including multinational companies, startups, and local businesses.
• Understand the recruitment requirements of the organizations and match them with the skills and aspirations of the students.
• Organize corporate interactions, guest lectures, and recruitment drives to enhance student employability.
• Student Counseling & Career Guidance:
• Provide career guidance to students, including resume building, interview preparation, and soft skills development.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance students' professional skills.
• Provide one-on-one counseling to students on job opportunities, career paths, and industry trends.
• Data Management & Reporting:
• Maintain and update a database of students, employers, and job opportunities.
• Track placement statistics, including offers, salary packages, and student feedback, and generate regular reports for internal evaluation.
• Analyze placement trends and provide insights to improve the placement process.
• Industry Networking & Brand Building:
• Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking sessions to promote Chandigarh University and its students.
• Represent the university in external industry interactions and help raise the universitys profile among potential employers.
• Collaboration with Academic Departments:
• Work closely with faculty and academic departments to understand student strengths and areas for improvement.
• Assist in designing and implementing employability-enhancing programs, including skill development, internships, and industry visits.
• Internship & Pre-placement Activities:
• Encourage and assist students in securing internships with industry partners as part of their academic curriculum.
• Organize pre-placement training sessions to better prepare students for corporate job environments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or an MBA is a plus.
• Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in placement coordination, campus recruitment, or a related role in a higher education institution, preferably in a university setting.

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of the placement process and industry trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and placement management software.
• Understanding of career development processes and student needs.
