# of Resources: 1 Role(s): Asset/Inventory Specialist Role Location(s): bangalore, india Project Overview: You will use your experience in infrastructure environments involving all phases of local and wide area network implementations to order and track local- and wide-area network and infrastructure devices. You will support the Asset Management team in the tracking, auditing and reporting of Network and Infrastructure Devices. You will need to maintain compliance with QA standards, ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded, and keep team members informed of asset and order status. Role Scope / Deliverables: Design and execute infrastructure asset management policies, procedures and processes. Coordinate with management in utilizing the asset management tools to analyze, review and track asset data. Develop infrastructure asset control processes and tools to monitor accountability identification, maintenance, location and contracts. Participate in network creation and support for asset reconciliation and disposal agreements. Educate associates about network asset policies and procedures. Assist in network device inventory management, procurement and shipment activities. Work with group purchasing and finance to execute process and resolve purchasing issues. Participate in contract negotiation, contract renewals and vendor management activities. Monitor and control expenses. Monitor devices and software licenses to ensure they comply with license agreements and usage standards. Manage software subscriptions and maintenance contracts to ensure effective use of resources and that appropriate expenses are included in the annual operational plan Collaborate with management to define cost savings, asset compliance and service improvements. Participate in preparing asset capital and expense budgets. Ensure audit compliance for infrastructure assets. Key Skills: Tool & Technology Skills In-depth knowledge of data networking and different technology pillars such as Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks, Platform engineering, Virtualizations, Cloud, Storage, Backups and Firewalls Ability to examine, understand and extract asset information from device configurations such as Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, and F5 devices Proficient is MS Office suite Access, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Experience working with databases and programming would be a strong plus Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance. Pays attention to detail. Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions. Proven analytical skills and systemic problem solving. Working knowledge of network engineering and operations. Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations to senior/executive management. High degree of creative ability, analytical and technical skills and independent judgment. CompTIA Security + or ITIL v3 Foundations certification a plus
