Job Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain process automation systems in our petrochemical plant. The role involves working with DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, and IIoT solutions to optimize refinery operations, improve safety, and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Automation System Design & Implementation

• Develop, configure, and maintain DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems (Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson DeltaV, Siemens, Rockwell).
• Optimize PID control loops for process efficiency in refining, polymerization, and cracking units.
• Design and implement Advanced Process Control (APC) strategies for enhanced production.

🔹 Instrumentation & Industrial Communication

• Integrate and calibrate sensors, actuators, analyzers, and flow meters.
• Ensure seamless communication using Modbus, Profibus, HART, OPC UA.

🔹 Safety & Compliance

• Implement and maintain Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) & SIL assessments (IEC 61511).
• Conduct HAZOP & LOPA studies to improve process safety.
• Ensure compliance with API 2350, OSHA PSM, and ISA/IEC 62443 standards.

🔹 Industrial Cybersecurity & Reliability

• Secure automation networks against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Implement firewalls, access control, and OT security best practices.
• Ensure system redundancy and disaster recovery planning.

🔹 Digital Transformation & IIoT Integration

• Deploy IIoT solutions for predictive maintenance and real-time asset monitoring.
• Implement cloud-based data analytics (OSIsoft PI System, AVEVA, or similar).
• Use AI/ML models for process optimization and fault detection.

Key Requirements:

✅ Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience with DCS (Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson DeltaV), PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell), and SCADA (Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFIX).
• Hands-on knowledge of SIL, SIS, and safety system design.
• Proficiency in Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), Python, or MATLAB.
• Experience with APC tools, digital twin technologies, and real-time process optimization.

✅ Industry Experience:

• 15+ years in petrochemicals, oil & gas, or refineries.
• Strong understanding of distillation, cracking, polymerization, and refining processes.

✅ Soft Skills:

• Ability to lead automation projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and IT teams.
