Accountant ( Garment Factory ) Mauritius

Role & responsibilities

1. Record and reconcile financial transactions ( invoicing, receipts, payments, bank reconciliation )
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records ( ledgers & journals )
3. Prepare monthly trial balance, balance sheet and other financial statements
4. Assist in the preparation of forecast and budgets and conduct analysis on actual achievements
5. Process payroll and employee benefits including full and final settlement.
6. Prepare monthly MIS statement on cash flow and debtor outstandings
7. Track and analyse inventory turnover, sales forecast and optimise stock levels
8. Analyse cost, identify areas for reduction and recommend cost saving measures

Preferred candidate profile

Applicants should be aged below 40 years, ideally with at least 5 years work experience in the Financial Accounting function in a factory environment of a mid size company.
