Engineering Manager

About Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to manage a newly formed team working on the SMB platform portfolio for our Email Security product. This is an opportunity to grow a new team where you will plan and manage successful releases by working closely with our Product Management and internal/external stakeholders to identify requirements and priorities. You will be an active member of the engineering leadership team contributing to strategy, evaluating and reporting performance and trends, recommending improvements, building team ethos, and collaborating positively to develop and retain talent across the entire team. We are looking for immediate to 10 days joiners only.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers to deliver product features
• Inspire and motivate team members to achieve maximum productivity and creativity
• Establish and drive product release plans that satisfy requirements and priorities
• Provide ongoing communication of the release plan to the product team
• Assess the cost, benefits and risks of each development project, factoring in required architecture/engineering effort to build common components
• Apply agile principles for the timely incremental deliveries
• Monitor team productivity, dynamics and overall performance
• Anticipate, identify and resolve technical issues
• Support team members in their pursuit of career development paths and opportunities
• Champion the teams accomplishments with upper management and adjacent teams
• Provide both high level and low-level technical guidance on tasks as appropriate

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Proven experience of building and managing high performance software development teams
• Previous application design/architecture experience
• Hands on development experience in Java Object Oriented technologies
• Experience of developing full-stack web applications
• Additional experience with AWS, Kafka and JavaScript frameworks would beneficial
