Key Responsibilities:
Media Coverage:
1. Establish and maintain direct relationships with top-tier media houses in print and television.
2. Secure consistent, positive coverage for the hospital in leading newspapers, magazines, and TV channels.
3. Strategically pitch stories, press releases, and expert opinions to media outlets for maximum impact.
Proactive Media Relations:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
2. Foster a strong rapport with journalists, editors, and influencers, ensuring the hospital is their go-to source for healthcare stories, expert opinions, and breaking news.
Digital and YouTube Partnerships:
1. Build connections with prominent YouTubers, bloggers, and influencers specializing in healthcare and wellness.
2. Coordinate collaborations, interviews, and content creation with digital media channels to amplify the hospital's online presence.
Crisis Communication:
1. Develop and implement strategies for effective crisis communication, protecting and enhancing the hospitals reputation during critical situations.
Event Participation:
1. Actively identify and ensure the hospital’s participation in key events, conferences, and health expos happening in the city.
2. Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and community initiatives, ensuring significant media coverage.
Content Strategy:
1. Craft compelling stories highlighting the hospital’s success, patient experiences, and innovative treatments.
2. Ensure consistent messaging across all media platforms that align with the hospital's brand identity.
3. Position the hospital's leadership and medical experts as thought leaders by arranging media interactions, interviews, and guest articles.
Digital Media:
1. Oversee the hospital’s digital footprint by working with the marketing team to ensure engaging, high-quality content for social media, YouTube, and websites.
2. Regularly monitor trends in digital and social media, incorporating them into PR strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of experience in Public Relations, with a significant focus on healthcare.
Previous experience working directly with hospitals or healthcare clients in a PR agency is highly preferred.
Skills:
1. Proven direct connections with top media professionals across print, television, digital, and YouTube platforms.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and content creation.
3. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to achieve media objectives.
4. Expertise in managing crisis communication and developing effective strategies.
