Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

•Lead design initiatives, focusing on creating detailed 2D and 3D models and assembly drawings for sheet metal products.

• Review and refine design concepts to ensure they are manufactural, costeffective, and meet performance specifications.

• Create part designs, assemblies, and layout drawings with an emphasis on both functionality and aesthetics.

• Provide support in computational simulations and analysis for sheet metal designs to ensure structural integrity.

• Develop detailed design documents such as Bill of Materials (BOM), design specifications, and technical documentation.

• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and meet safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and project management teams to ensure design feasibility and practical implementation.

• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior designers, verifying their work and providing feedback for improvement.

• Participate in design reviews, addressing design-related issues and contributing to technical problem-solving efforts.

• Continuously seek to improve design processes, tools, and methodologies to increase team efficiency and design quality.

• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and project timelines.
