Performance Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer with extensive experience in performance testing, scripting, and monitoring tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Python, along with hands-on experience in performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing performance tests to ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Testing:

Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.

Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to identify system bottlenecks.

Analyze system performance under various load conditions and provide recommendations for optimization.

Monitoring & Analysis:

Use monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus) to monitor system performance during test execution.

Analyze system metrics (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network, etc.) to identify performance issues.

Scripting & Automation:

Develop and maintain performance test scripts using Java and Python.

Automate performance testing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Collaboration:

Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to identify performance requirements and resolve issues.

Provide detailed performance test reports and recommendations to stakeholders.

Tool Evaluation:

Evaluate and recommend performance testing tools and frameworks to improve testing processes.

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java and Python.

• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana, or Prometheus.

• Knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools and techniques.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into the pipeline.

• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
