Role & responsibilities

WordPress Development:

• Architect and develop advanced WordPress-based solutions, including custom themes, plugins, and functionalities tailored to business needs.
• Build and manage scalable multisite WordPress networks and enterprise-level platforms.
• Perform WordPress performance optimizations using tools like Varnish, Memcached, or Redis.
• Conduct security audits and implement secure coding practices to safeguard applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into WordPress environments.
• Implement headless WordPress setups and manage seamless integration with frontend frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to SEO standards and web accessibility (WCAG) guidelines.

Frontend Development:

• Create reusable, scalable, and modular React components for dynamic user interfaces.
• Optimize frontend performance using tools like Lighthouse and Webpack.
• Seamlessly integrate frontend technologies (React, Next.js, Gatsby, etc.) with WordPress.
• Develop interactive user experiences with a focus on responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

Backend Development:

• Build and maintain server-side logic, database management, and application architecture.
• Develop custom APIs and manage efficient data handling using state management tools like Redux or Context API.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, ensuring robust and secure application functionality.
• Collaborate on backend optimizations for scalability and performance.

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Conduct code reviews, enforce high-quality coding standards, and ensure best practices in both frontend and backend development.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and tools to enhance the development lifecycle.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex technical challenges across WordPress, frontend, and backend environments.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong expertise in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and multisite configurations.
• Proficiency in React and other frontend frameworks, with experience in integrating them with WordPress.
• Solid knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, MySQL) and server-side development.
• Experience with tools and platforms like Varnish, Memcached, Redis, Webpack, and Git.
• Familiarity with advanced state management tools (Redux, MobX, Context API).
• Understanding of modern web development practices, including headless CMS architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
