Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Growth and Business Development:
- Drive the growth of the Transaction Banking portfolio, focusing on Trade/SCF book utilization, transaction growth, and revenue generation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including CMS mandates and solutioning to augment CASA/deposit and reduce churn.
- Increase wallet share and product penetration through effective sales strategies and relationship management.
- Collaborate with RMs, business channels, branch heads, and product specialists to understand client needs and recommend tailored Transaction Banking solutions.
- Structure and close complex deals, ensuring optimal outcomes for both the client and the bank.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular visits and proactive communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Transaction Banking, addressing business needs and providing solutions.
- Manage documentation and coordinate between clients, the business team, branches, and the Control Processing Unit (CPU).
- Conduct product demonstrations to clients, highlighting the benefits and features of various Transaction Banking products and services.
Solutioning and Problem-Solving:
- Demonstrate creativity in structuring deals and providing innovative solutions to meet client needs.
- Respond promptly to queries from both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with the product and business teams to develop customized Transaction Banking solutions and offerings for clients.
Client Service and Support:
- Address client queries and issues related to Transaction Banking products and services.
- Navigate complex requirements and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to provide effective solutions.
- Manage transaction approvals and work with operations to ensure smooth and timely completion of transactions.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Assist the product team in closing audit queries and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and committee recommendations.
- Maintain a strong focus on risk management, keeping the department's activities within the bank's risk appetite.
Required Skills and Experience:
- MBA with 3-6 years of experience in Transaction Banking.
- In-depth knowledge of Transaction Banking products, including Trade Finance (Export, Import, Discounting, LCBD, LC/BG), Supply Chain Finance (Vendor Finance, Dealer Finance, Supply Chain Programs), and Cash Management Services (Payment-Collection products, Virtual Accounts, API-connected Banking, Escrow, eComm/eAuctions, e-NACH).
- Proven track record in client relationship management and business development.
- Strong client service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
Additional Considerations:
- The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the banking industry and regulatory landscape.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a large corporate or commercial bank, is highly preferred.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential
