Job Description

Location : India HQ

Job Purpose

The India IT Full stack developer will be responsible for the development & support of core application(s) used within the school & India office, as directed by the Product owner and Application Manager. The developer will be responsible for working closely with Application manager, vendor, and product owner. The developer will be responsible for detailing the business requirements by creating suitable wireframe, acceptance criteria as explained by Product owner, develop the function by closely working with vendors, testing the developed functionalities and ensure the features are bug-free prior to release for users.

Key Result Area

Principal Accountabilities

  • Product design, development & support
  • Manage the development and maintenance of core applications supported and their integration with other applications.
  • Should be able to understand functional & user requirements.
  • Design for better user experience.
  • Use Industry standard design patterns and principles.
  • Collaborates with UX to ensure overall vision is achieved.
  • Adhere to branding guidelines.
  • Research through surveys, competitive analysis, focus, groups, design thinking and bench marking.
  • Should have good communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of OOPS and Demonstrated experience in SQL
  • Working knowledge about Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of / Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Working experience in code deployment automation.
  • Working experience in handling third party services such as FedEx, CCAvenue, HDFC etc
  • Working experience in developing reports using SSRS, Tableau and PowerBI.

Personal Specifications Skills, Knowledge and Experience

QualificationsDegree qualified and/or relevant professional qualification and experience (e.g. Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information technology or related field)

Experience Typically at least 12 - 15 years of technical delivery and support experience, in roles that requires involvement in

  • Must have hands on experience in developing applications using ASP.NET MVC and micro-services architecture.
  • Must be aware of common design patterns and object-oriented design skills
  • Must have working experience and knowledge of Relational Databases, MS SQL, SQL queries, performance optimization etc
  • Experience with building APIs using ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET and services using REST, SOAP, etc.
  • Experience on working with Windows Environment
  • Knowledge HTML, CSS, XML , Client Side Scripting like JavaScript and jQuery
  • Should have knowledge about coding standards and best practices
  • Solid understanding of server side MVC frameworks
  • Experience on deployments through automation process.
