Nurse Educator

• Assess clinical education needs of nursing associates at all levels and develop strategies to meet those needs in collaboration with appropriate resources.
• Plan & Execute the training in response to needs identified by Councils, Committees and/or other professional associates.
• Maintain the annual calendar which includes the Nursing Induction & Orientation (NIO), Continuing Nursing Education sessions (CNEs) and Council meetings.
• Facilitate the communication of nursing education offerings, presentations and/or other learning activities to all members Division of Nursing.
• Evaluate & review training programs provided to nursing associates.
• Participate in the development of competency based orientation programs, including the yearly competency review process in conjunction with other councils and unit level management.
• Identify priorities and make recommendations related to formalized staff and leadership development programs.
• Promote the recruitment and retention of the professional nurse.
• Coordinate with quality council & assess the trends to identify training needs
• Coordinate with practice council to for developing education materials & implementation of educational programs

To work with the hospital information system and other information technology resources and software as may be assigned on a periodic basis from time to time as per attached appendix
