Cyber Security Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Enterprise Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture design, data modeling, and data governance with a focus on cybersecurity. Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture and Design:
  
• Lead the design and development of enterprise-wide data architecture solutions that align with cybersecurity and business objectives.
• Ensure that data systems are scalable, secure, and resilient to cybersecurity threats.
• Define data modeling standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the enterprise.
• Create and maintain data architecture roadmaps, ensuring alignment with long-term business and IT strategies.
• Data Governance and Security:
  
• Develop and enforce data governance policies, ensuring the security, privacy, and integrity of sensitive data across the organization.
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure the architecture adheres to security standards, regulations, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.).
• Implement data security protocols, including encryption, access controls, and identity management, to protect critical data assets.
• Oversee data lifecycle management, ensuring that data is properly archived, retrieved, and disposed of according to governance standards.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, cybersecurity, legal, product, and business units) to ensure data strategies are aligned with organizational goals and cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide expert guidance to senior leadership and business stakeholders on data management and architecture in the context of cybersecurity.
• Engage with key stakeholders to design data solutions that support business operations while adhering to data governance and security principles.
• Technology and Tools Evaluation:
  
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement data management tools and technologies that enhance data architecture and security.
• Stay abreast of emerging data security technologies, tools, and best practices to continually enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
  
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data security and governance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure data architecture aligns with security protocols and governance policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise data architecture, with at least 3 years specifically focused on cybersecurity or data security roles.
• Strong background in data modeling, data governance, and data management practices.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing data architectures that are secure, scalable, and support complex cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience in implementing data security frameworks and governance policies to ensure the privacy, integrity, and security of data.
• Technical Skills:
  
• Expertise in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, IBM InfoSphere, Microsoft Visio, etc.) and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, cloud-based databases).
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Apache Atlas).
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and how they relate to data governance and security.
• Hands-on experience with data encryption, access controls, and identity management technologies.
