Role & responsibilities
Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement Seek and support cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives including in the Milk Value Chain. Participate in factory project teams in order to ensure validation, review and proposed savings are accurately tracked. Involved in daily activities associated with NCE in the factory environment.
Reporting and Analytics Review and validate factory reporting of weekly actuals, including providing of this data for factory NCE meetings to ensure transparency of information. Review and validate period end and year end close reports for the factory ensuring Nestlé financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed.
Review daily/weekly field level Milk Value Chain losses and bring in improvements. Reporting of key numbers with regard to Milks i.e No of Farmers, Qty, Value, BM:CM ratios, LF:SF ratios, Direct Payment to farmer numbers etc. Ensure accuracy of period-end close with regard to Milk inputs.
Market Intelligence Benchmarking of Competitor pricing and other field related cost elements for pricing decisions. Effective role in benchmarking of the transportation costs and negotiation with vendors resulting in reduction of costs. Reviewing Large Farmer eligibility criteria and incentive schemes at regular intervals to optimize the costs
Internal Controls Ensure best practice implementation in Milk Collection & Farmer Payments in order to demonstrate robust internal controls. Follow costing guidelines and associated standard operating procedures when generating financial documents and performing daily activities.
Knowledge Transfer Prepare and publish financial KPI data on a regular basis; perform analysis of KPI data and transfer this knowledge of the key figures to the relevant stakeholders in order to promote understanding.
Compliance
Perform routine audit activities within the factory to ensure compliance on critical areas eg) stock taking. Appropriately escalate business risks
Preferred candidate profile
Basic knowledge of the 10 Corporate Business Principles
2. Good knowledge of product composition
3. Good knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing conversion process, and physical / technical aspects of a factory
4. Good understanding of business processes, internal controls, the GLOBE best practices & systems supporting these E2E processes and functional best practices (particularly Finance & Control and Operations - Manufacturing)
6). Good knowledge of Costing Standards for Manufacturing
7). Understanding of the Factory functions (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement) and their primary activities 8. NCE literate wtith good understanding of NCE methodologies and supporting tools eg) Loss Tree
Ensuring of timely and accurate payments to Farmers (~50% of total cost of production) spread across various milk sheds.Exposure to PEC Activites in Factory related to COGS, FFOH, Depreciation and Variance Analysis. Experience of CMS and associated standard operating procedures when generating financial documents and performing daily activities Impart functional knowledge to the Milk payroll processing team for flawless execution and timely payments.
