Job Description

Validates requirements, performs analysis and design for system improvements and new applications. Represents the department by leading work and providing guidance to others. Responsibilities

Develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software to meet requirements
Design and develop test automation code
Complete complex program changes; self-directed
Perform comprehensive analysis and design for broadly defined requirements
Make significant technical contributions; contribute to technical direction
Provide estimates required for user stories based on business requirements, specifications and designs
Comply with and contribute to SDLC standards and CD/CI procedures to ensure consistency; introduce new standards and opportunities for improvements
Monitor progress against task estimates to provide status
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications across environments, including high impact production issues
Maintain existing code base, monitoring for failures in non-prod environments
Support changes during quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and post implementation to ensure integrity of application
Share technical expertise; guide and mentor others to maximize team effectiveness and quality
Subject Matter Expert in a relevant technology or Paychex application Qualifications
- Experience with the Java front end technologies
- Proven work experience in REST, REST API, JASON, JQuery
- Knowledge of Java backend technologies and experience in integrating Java business layer systems.
- Develop new software enables the launch of new product functionality and services with technologies ranging from HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience in CSS framework \u2013 Bootstrap
- In depth knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and patterns
- Experience in Python
- Proven solid experience with AngularJS, Angular 11, ReactJS
- Experience in XML, Java \u2013 Sprint Boot
- Web Services Development - advance level of knowledge of web service development using Java technologies specifically Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Batch
- Proven experience in testing - using robot framework, TAF/PXT, Jasmine, Karma
- Cloud Development and CI/CD - Experience of developing and deploying services in CI/CD based Cloud Environments, XLR/XLD
- Database Technologies - Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL MongoDB
- Build Tools- Experience with Gradle and Maven
- Containerization - Experience of working with Dockers, Kubernetes and Openshift
- Messaging Technologies - Work Experience in Kafka, RabbitMQ
