Job Description
- Handle all medical billing operations, ensuring accurate documentation, coding, and claim submissions.
- Liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators (TPA) for smooth claim processing.
- Verify patient information, medical treatments, and ensure proper documentation for insurance purposes.
- Assess insurance policies, coverage, and claim eligibility, coordinating with patients for timely approvals.
- Resolve billing discrepancies by working with medical teams and insurers.
- Maintain up-to-date records of patient treatments, diagnostics, and charges, ensuring compliance with insurance regulations.
- Review and address claim rejections and follow up for approvals with the TPA or insurance companies.
- Ensure that all TPA agreements and contracts are adhered to, and medical claims are processed within stipulated timelines.
- Provide support and explanations to patients about their billing, insurance claims, and any required documentation.
- Prepare reports on claim status, billing summaries, and approvals for review by hospital administration or finance departments.
- Stay updated on insurance policy changes, healthcare regulations, and medical coding systems to ensure compliance with all billing practices.
