Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Shopify Website Manager to take ownership of our Shopify store's end-to-end operations. As the sole manager, you will be responsible for everything from product listing and website optimization to plugin management and backend development using Shopify Liquid. This role is perfect for someone passionate about e-commerce, skilled in Shopify, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Management

Oversee the overall functionality of the Shopify website to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

2. Product Management

Upload, organize, and update product listings with accurate descriptions, images, and pricing.

Implement best practices for product page optimization to maximize conversions.

3. Custom Development

Use Shopify Liquid for advanced customizations and enhancements.

Perform front-end and back-end development to customize themes and features.

4. Plugin and App Management

Research, install, and configure Shopify apps to extend website functionality.

Troubleshoot and resolve plugin-related issues.

5. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Implement on-page SEO techniques, optimize meta tags, and ensure search-friendly URLs.

Collaborate with the digital marketing team to enhance website visibility and traffic.

6. Performance Optimization

Monitor website speed and performance, implement changes to improve loading times.

Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.

7. Analytics and Reporting

Use tools like Google Analytics to track website performance and user behavior.

Generate reports on website traffic, conversions, and other KPIs, and present findings to management.

8. Problem-Solving

Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

Continuously test and improve website functionality.

9. Compliance and Security

Ensure the website complies with industry standards, including data privacy regulations.

Implement security measures to protect customer data.

Qualifications

1. Education

Bachelors degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Shopify certifications or similar credentials are a plus.

2. Experience

2-3 years of hands-on experience managing Shopify websites.

Proven expertise in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and SEO.

3. Technical Skills

Proficiency in customizing Shopify themes and managing apps/plugins.

Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics and Search Console.

Basic knowledge of image optimization tools and graphic design software.

4. Soft Skills

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
