Technical Knowledge :.
- Demand Planning professional with end-to-end planning experience and front-end sales /marketing exposure of 8 year.
- Hands on experience in Advanced Planning Systems (APS)Demand Planning modules e.gSAP APO, IBP, BY, O9, Kinaxis, Anaplan etc
Communication and collaborative skills to engage with Sales & Marketing, regions and Supply Planning Tea.
- Knowledge of data science, ML-algorithms, best-fit basis SKU behavior
- Know-how of category / brand behavior in different zones - immediate & long term.
- Full understanding of demand influencing factors (seasonality, weather, events, holidays etc.)
- Expertise in planning systems for Demand Planning like Advanced Planning Systems (APS); preferably has worked as a Demand Planner before.
Responsibilities :
- Statistical Modelling: Generate baseline forecast through best-fit statistical / ML-based forecasting models and share with zones as a reference input.
- Segment Growth/De-Growth: Monitor segment growth/degrowth from various published industry report and overlay on consolidated regional demand inputs.
- New Product Launch Planning: Manage New Product Launch volumes in conjunction with Sales & Marketing Team.
- Demand Review Process / Meeting: Lead weekly Demand Review Meetings, including the review of MAPE/ Bias and work with sales to align on a realistic forecast numbers.
- S&OP: Play active role in the weekly / monthly S&OP process to develop an aligned demand plan.
- Gaps and opportunities are identified, quantified & addressed.
- Long Term Capacity Planning: Support capacity planning for long-term basis long term forecasting.
- Cross Functional Relationships: Develop strong collaborative cross functional relationships.
- Measure/Track Performance: Measure, report, and innovate to drive improvement of demand planning process and KPIs.
Inventory: Shared together with supply planners.
Supply chain fundamentals Supply chain strategy, segmentation, and leading practices: Aligning supply chain design(infrastructure, systems, resources, resilience, sustainability) & capabilities with the business strategy to meet market demands & customer requirements
- Understanding of Product portfolio lifecycle management & complexity SC segmentation & service level differentiation.
- E2E supply chain know how : Understanding of the role and interdependencies of the different SC disciplines.
- Demand forecasting and planning:Creating a one number demand plan across the organization to forecast what customers want, how much , and by when.
S&OP best practices: Structuring a formal process that is integrated with strategic& financial planning; balances demand plans and supply constraints proactively
- Understanding the scope of S&OP and how S&OP changes as the maturity level increases.
Sales and Operations Execution(S&OE):Providing a bridge between the monthly S&OP consensus process & day-to-day operational planning, proactively addressing short term demand and supply imbalances.
Plan reconciliation and optimization (e.g Demand to supply):Can balance between demand and supply plans against market-level volume targets.
- Analytical Competency Statistical Forecasting: Understanding of statistical data issues
- Understanding and use of statistical forecasting techniques
- Ability to build models incorporating sales data inputs, lost sales etc.
- Segment growth/de-growth: Ability to apply analytical skills across different segments growth/de-growth
Market analysis & customer insight
- Business intelligence to translate market intelligence into quantitative demand plan.
Integrated scenario planning- : Generate multiple demand scenario
- Implement scenarios using appropriate analytical techniques
- Presentation of complex analytical data and results in a simple way.
- Knowledge of visual presentation/data visualization techniques:A means of representing information graphically, in a standardized format; highlights patterns and trends in data & helps the user derive insights more quickly.
Data management and governance: Process established to define accountability for data, ensure data quality, and maintain data attributes along the master data lifecycle.
Business Competency Cross:
- Functional Awareness: Knowledge of cross functional business processes
- Experience in Sales and Marketing Supply chain planning.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of consumer behavior
- Understanding of global trends and localization factors
- Understanding and integration of business growth into supply plans.
Decision making & business impact: Ability to make & take responsibility for a robust, timely choice by gathering relevant data, assessing the trade-offs

Technical Competency Systems capabilities/expertise with relevant analytical/planning tools: ML competency to model how demand influencers impact future forecast& model them through ML/Statalgos
- Knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems (APS) like Blue Yonder, Kinaxis Demand Planning module etc.
- Knowledge of AP APO-DP,MM , PP modules.
- Data Handling Data Quality Management
- Knowledge of tools to increase productivity, manage complexity, and improve forecast quality
- Systems capabilities and expertise with relevant tools
- Understanding of the interaction between systems.

- Identify innovative solutions to operational challenges; challenges the status quo.
