The Buyer is responsible for purchasing equipment, materials and services that will be utilized in Company operations and projects including the following:
Responsibilities
Obtains quotations, prepares and issues purchase orders for materials, supplies, equipment and services including special and unusual items on a daily basis.
Abides by Company policies, procedures and standards.
Collaborates with internal and external customers to properly identify materials and arrange delivery. Resolves order discrepancies (OSD) in a timely manner.
Accurately and timely generates quotation requests, issue purchase orders and follows up with suppliers on past due orders. Analyzes quotations, understands and negotiates PO terms and conditions.
Identifies potential new suppliers for evaluation and qualification.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Ensures that personal behaviors and work practices are in line with Company safety standards.
Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors and guests.
Provide visible leadership engagement, be aware of housekeeping and take additional safety precautions to ensure no one is put at risk.
Do not take short cuts or unnecessary risks and actively work with others to ensure they take due care and do not put themselves or others at risk.
Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company procedure.
As needed, seek advice from HSE representative.

Qualifications
Must possess a High School diploma and college degree is preferred.
5 years relevant work experience required and 7 years preferred.
