Position Summary

The role of the Research Analyst is to be adaptive yet methodical in applying analytical skills to the assigned focus areas. The analyst will primarily analyze software providers, assessing the merits of their products and methodologies to provide ratings and comparisons. The role offers an opportunity to explore various research categories, including business software, AI, and IT, while collaborating with subject matter experts.

Responsibilities:

- Support assigned research teams and research directors on Buyer's Guides.

- Apply analytical skills to assess software providers' products and technologies.

- Conduct secondary research on topics related to Buyer's Guides.

- Collaborate with lead analysts to ensure high-quality research outputs.

- Effectively manage time to adapt to multiple projects with varying deadlines.

- Deliver results independently with minimal supervision.

Skills Required:

- Experience: 4 to 8 years of research experience, preferably in enterprise software.

- Proven expertise in research related to software providers and technology.

- Strong ability to locate and analyze information from both established and original sources.

- Ability to extract meaningful insights and formulate opinions by analyzing internal and external data.

- Exceptional secondary research and analytical skills.

- Proficient in report writing and presenting actionable insights.

- Capability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify relevant findings.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

- Strong time management skills for handling multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent teamwork abilities while also being self-directed and independent.

- Effective communication skills, especially with senior executives.

- Flexibility to collaborate with teams across the US and European time zones, occasionally requiring extended work hours.
