To look after patients with serious, life limiting conditions, particularly cancer patients, at their homes, in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region so as to relieve their pain and manage their symptoms, ensuring quality of life and dignity in death.
You will be the team leader of a medical palliative care team comprising you, as the doctor, two nurses and one psycho-social counsellor. You will visit patients at their homes. There, you will provide compassionate medical care so as to relieve their pain and manage their symptoms, ensuring that they have quality of life and die in dignity. You will be assigned a zone close to your home to minimize travel time to patients. This is a 930 am to 530 p.m. job leaving your evenings free.
Qualifications
At least a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from an Indian institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.
Remuneration Your salary will be generous and commensurate with your years of experience.
Have good medical knowledge and skills
Be willing to learn the discipline of palliative care medicine and be prepared to undergo specialised training and regular refresher courses thereon.
Show compassion and personalised care to patients and their families
Have effective communication skills, preferably in English, Hindi / Marathi.
Be dedicated to the job and be hard working
Must be willing to make a commitment to the organization for a minimum of 2 years.
