Job Description

Our client, a global consulting firm is assisting an IT Services client in enhancing their people supply chain. The goal of this project is to optimise the recruitment process for a specific skill set, reduce the average wage, and shorten the time to fulfill demand for key profiles. The client aims to achieve this by leveraging various strategies, including alternative hiring channels and process optimisation.

To support this initiative, they are seeking a Talent Acquisition Consultant with a deep understanding of the IT Services sector. The consultant will address these challenges, particularly in the context of an IT Services firm, and will work closely with the internal HR teams.

This project is part of a broader initiative to improve the overall recruitment process in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely availability of critical skills. Success will be measured by the improvements made in time-to-hire, cost savings, and the effectiveness of new recruitment strategies implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse the current recruitment process and identify opportunities for optimisation to reduce the cost and time-to-hire for niche IT profiles

- Work with HR teams to identify and implement alternative hiring channels, ensuring alignment with broader company goals

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop strategies that improve overall efficiency and productivity in recruiting

- Support the client in re-engineering their talent acquisition processes to improve their ability to meet the fluctuating demands of a fast-paced IT services business

- Act as the main point of contact for the recruitment strategy transformation, regularly reporting progress to senior management

- Provide recommendations on long-term strategic changes to improve hiring efficiencies and cost-effectiveness

Key Deliverables:

- A comprehensive assessment of the current recruitment process and key bottlenecks

- A detailed plan for optimising the hiring process, including actionable recommendations for new tools, channels, or processes

- Metrics and KPIs to measure the success of the optimization initiatives (e.g., reduced time-to-hire, reduced cost-per-hire)

Your Background:

- 8+ years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition or HR transformation projects

- Proven track record in optimising hiring for niche IT and tech roles, particularly - within IT services organizations

- Expertise in leveraging various recruitment levers such as alternative sourcing channels, vendor management, and process automation to reduce hiring time and costs

- Ability to lead workshops and discussions with senior leadership to drive strategic decisions

- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with experience delivering insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders

- Familiarity with recruiting tools and technologies that can streamline processes (e.g., ATS, CRM, AI-driven platforms)

- A background in consulting is also valuable, but experience directly within the HR function of a tech/engineering services company is preferred

This opportunity will be on an initial contract of 3 to 6 months. The consultant need to be based in Delhi or Bangalore for this role. The client is open to consultants from other locations if the consultant is willing to travel regularly to the client's office.
