SPE / DPM (Structures For reinforcement yard)

Role & responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for managing the central reinforcement and steel yard to ensure completion of project within the stipulated time and cost and shall ensure effective resource utilization to maximize the output.

• To study the reinforcement drawings and prepare bar bending schedule of all the structure construction work.
• To study the steel structure fabrication drawings and discuss and guide the structural steel fabricator in the yard for fabrication of steel structures.
• To interface with the Project Incharge and planning department for schedule programming of works and timely completion based on the master construction program.
• To ensure that the cutting and bending of steel is done as per bar bending schedule and there is no wastage.
• To monitor and record the inward and out word material flow in the reinforcement and steel yard.
• To issue processed reinforcement & structural steel to the sub-contractors as per the quantity provided in the drawings.
• To prepare the reconciliation of reinforcement and structural steel on a monthly basis for all structure works.
• To support the internal audit team and site audits and take corrective action as may be required.
• To adhere all quality and safety measures in accordance with the contract agreement, codes and good industrial practices.

Preferred candidate profile

He should be efficient in studying construction drawings and reinforcement detailing. He should be capable of managing reinforcement and steel yard sub-contractors / labour gangs for all type of reinforcement cutting bending and steel fabrication works. He should be proficient in preparation of bar bending schedule and material reconciliation in MS excel.

He should be Diploma/B.E/B.Tech-Civil from a recognized university. He should have 8-12 Year experience in bridge projects and should have executed similar work.
