We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our development team to work on our most challenging and complex problems. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and must have experience building distributed systems software solutions (preferably in cloud-based environments). In addition, they will have experience of developing new product features from conception to release. This role will directly contribute to the product strategy of our next generation platform solutions for Oracle IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for building complex services and applications with high scalability, performance, and security using latest best practise cloud native principles and tooling. You will collaborate with other development teams responsible for designing and implementing services and applications within a distributed computing environment. You will be expected to identify any security vulnerabilities of services in development, ensure your code has full unit and integration test coverage and is testable with a clear definition of done on completion. You will work in a fast-paced agile development and deliver environment with a strong emphasis on automation using best practice CI/CD methodologies. 

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience, preferably in a distributed cloud environment
• Proven experience developing large scale service-oriented architectures and web services and applications.
• Development experience in Java, Python as well as shell scripting languages.
• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience collaborating in a distributed team-based environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, fast paced agile development environment.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
