Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) provides an end-to-end revenue management system for communications service providers. BRM system includes comprehensive management of payments, collections, invoicing, account receivables, taxation, general ledger integration, and reporting.
Oracle is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to grow our RD team. As a Senior Software Engineer on the team, you will be involved in a development role to design, develop release of On-premise and Cloud-native application services and functions. Analyze designs, develop, test and implement innovative solutions to ensure a high level of quality, robustness, scalability, and performance while meeting delivery schedule commitments.
Working with cross-functional teams in Quality, Documentation, Performance, and Program Management to achieve agreed-upon results, coordinating and working closely with remote teams to meet the needs of the project.
Playing a proactive role to make the customer successful by addressing customer questions and issues.
Owning consistency and high quality in solution delivery
Adherence to architectural best practices and standards.
Providing input into plans and working closely with the development manager to ensure project success.
Desired Skills: Preferably from a telecom domain and product development background.Work across teams to engineer the best system (both for operations and for customers) regardless of org boundaries or ownership.Debug, maintain and improve existing systems, with a focus especially for reducing operational burden and on performance.Be a generalist, able to debug issues across a wide breadth of our stack.Scale our systems by building tooling and automation.Work with partner teams outside our org and external to Oracle.
6+ years experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available systems
History of working in large codebases in C/C++, Java and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership and drive.
Understanding of cloud services such as Kubernetes, Docker, Opensearch, Grafana

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
