Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Oracle APEX Developer to join our team as an Individual Contributor 3 (Software Developer 3) . In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using Oracle APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, and JavaScript . You will work independently to deliver scalable solutions, optimize performance, and integrate APEX applications with enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate is an experienced developer who is passionate about problem-solving, has strong analytical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Application Development Integration
- Design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable web applications using Oracle APEX (19.1 or later) .
- Create interactive reports, forms, dashboards, and data visualizations to meet business needs.
- Customize applications using SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS .
- Integrate APEX applications with Oracle databases, RESTful Web Services, APIs, and other enterprise systems .
- Automate processes using APEX Automations, Dynamic Actions, or third-party tools .
Performance Optimization Troubleshooting
- Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for efficient database performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and functional issues in APEX applications.
- Ensure high availability and scalability of applications through best practices in architecture and coding .
Collaboration Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Follow CI/CD best practices for APEX application development and deployment.
- Maintain and improve existing applications through code reviews, testing, and iterative development .
- Stay up to date with Oracle APEX advancements, cloud technologies, and industry trends .
Required Skills Qualifications:
- Oracle APEX Expertise - Minimum 4 years of experience developing applications using Oracle APEX (version 19.1 or later) .
- Database Proficiency - Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL PL/SQL for writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Web Technologies - Hands-on experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS for UI customization and performance optimization.
- API Integration - Experience integrating APEX applications with RESTful Web Services, APIs, and data sources .
- Troubleshooting Performance Tuning - Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Version Control CI/CD - Experience with GitHub, SVN, or other source control tools for managing code.
- Self-Starter Team Player - Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a cross-functional team environment .
- Excellent Communication Skills - Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in Cloud platforms (OCI) .
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for APEX development .
- Knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture Administration .
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Java .
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure fundamentals .
