Program District Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Program District Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing 50-60 selected students from government or government-aided schools in Shahjahanpur under Mission Parivartan. This program provides laptops and online IIT preparation through PhysicsWallah to students, allowing them to study from home or attend classes at any of the 10 computer labs in Shahjahanpur.

The coordinator will be the primary point of contact for students and parents, ensuring smooth operations, addressing challenges related to learning, mental well-being, hardware, and overall program engagement. The role requires a proactive, compassionate, and socially committed individual who can build strong relationships with students and parents while ensuring program success.

Skills Required:

• Strong communication skills in Hindi (must be able to connect with students and parents).
• Basic technical troubleshooting (handling laptop-related issues).
• Knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, and Presentations (for student tracking and reporting).
• Ability to manage relationships with students, parents, and local stakeholders.
• Problem-solving skills to address student concerns related to studies, mental health, and parental involvement.
• Compassion and integrity to work with students from underprivileged backgrounds.
• Proactive and self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student & Parent Engagement:

• Serve as the primary contact for students and parents in Shahjahanpur.
• Continuously gather feedback from students and parents on learning experience, mental well-being, and program impact.
• Build trust and strong relationships with families to ensure active participation.
• Occasionally visit students homes for follow-ups and support.

2. Laptop & Technical Support:

• Assist students with laptop-related issues and coordinate necessary troubleshooting.
• Ensure that students can access and use PhysicsWallah’s online platform smoothly.
• Report hardware or software issues and coordinate their resolution.

3. Academic Monitoring & Support:

• Track student attendance, learning progress, and engagement.
• Ensure students are attending online classes from home or the 10 computer labs in Shahjahanpur.
• Motivate and guide students to stay consistent with their studies and assignments.

4. Data Management & Reporting:

• Maintain student records in Google Sheets, Docs, and Presentations.
• Prepare assessment reports on students' progress, including mental well-being and parental support.
• Share insights and findings with the program team for continuous improvement.

5. Field Visits & Program Operations:

• Conduct regular check-ins at the computer labs to ensure smooth functioning.
• Visit students' homes when required to resolve issues or provide motivation.
• Assist in any logistics, event coordination, or meetings related to the program.
