To control & monitor stores functions of incoming material, inventory management, PR
generation, issuance of material, scrap disposal & timely monthly closing of purchase
period

To help Organization in attaining optimum inventory based on ABC analysis, developing
robust system management in material flow and achieving maximum realization through
scrap disposal.

- Classification of inventory on ABC analysis
- Optimum inventory levels
Inventory management
- To define Min/Max norms for all SKU's based on - No obsolescence and generation of expiry
their consumption and procurement lead time.
- Unique item codification & racking for every
spare,consumable.

- Inventory accuracy
- To monitor the effective implementation of FIFO
system for shelf life items and ensure their usage
before expiry.
- Disposal of obsolete items and plan inventory
reduction by sharing non-moving items through
interplant transfers or return back to supplier.
- Review of Min/Max norms once in 6 months with
production/maintenance heads for optimum
inventory levels & review of item master in oracle
for eliminating duplicate codes/generation of new
items
- To reconcile system stock Vs physical stock once
in every quarter
- To ensure timely creation of PR for defined items - NO LINE STOPPAGE due to stock out of
Stores management
based on Min/Max

- To prepare MRN for all incoming material after
physical verification of goods & QA acceptance
- Issuance of material to shop floor
- Maintaining "5S" in storage area
- Preservation of weather conditioned goods like
Inks, sealants, primers & SBT tapes in cold
storage area.
- Timely monthly closing of purchase period
by booking all monthly consumption and
inward purchases
- Return of rejected goods to vendor (RTV) & send
debit note to Accounts

- Negotiate better prices with scrap buyers
- Explore new customer base for different
categories of scrap material
To achieve maximum realization from scrap
& contibute in organizational profitability
Scrap Disposal
- To conduct scrap Auctions (online & Physical
both)
- Maintaining "5S" in scrap yard area and avoid
mixture of different categories of scrap material
- Making annual scrap agreements with customer
(scrap buyers)
To perform every activity in a TQM way i.e in a
structured, planned & strategic way as per defined
SOP (P2P process). To work on Gaps by doing
why-why analysis & their countermeasures for
every variances.
