Senior Finance Specialist - AP ( Outsourced/Third Party )

Role & responsibilities

• Assemble, Review and Verify Invoices and Check Requests
• Audit all payments (Proof of execution, contract terms, Invoice compliant)
• Flag and Clarify any Unusual or Questionable Invoice Items or Prices
• Prepare and Process Electronic Transfers and Payments
• Post Transactions to Journals, Ledgers and other Records
• Reconcile Accounts Payable Transactions
• Monitor Accounts to Ensure Payments are Up to Date
• Maintain and update vendor records in the system to ensure accuracy and completeness. Correspond with Vendors and Respond to Inquiries
• Provide Supporting Documentation for Audits
• Maintain Accurate Historical Records
• Correspond with internal inquiry for the balance and payment details
• Payment review, Processing of daily payments.
• Expenses, payments entries posting Oracle ERP.
• Ensuring accuracy of daily accounting entries involving GST, RCM, TDS etc.
• Active participation in Annual Statutory, Tax & Internal audits.
• Handling business team queries on payments, TDS deductions Etc.
• Supporting team AP team on monthly closures.
• Reconciliation work based on requirement.
• Supplier / Employee creation in ERP as required.
• Accounting service bills, employee reimbursements in ERP.
• Participating in quarterly/annual stock audits.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Finance or related field
• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in high volume accounts payable environment.
• Excellent knowledge in ERP tools (Oracle, SAP knowledge will add an advantage).
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated and willing to contribute as individual and a team player.
• Strong knowledge of basic principles of accounting
• Good understanding on GST and TDS
• Good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel is mandatory.
