Production Officer - (Kneader, Polymer Compounding)

We are hiring for Production Officer/Sr. Production Officer who has experience in Kneader Operations. Please find below details -

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation of Batch Kneader:
  
• Set up and operate batch kneaders to mix polymers with various additives, fillers, and colorants.
• Monitor and control the kneading process, ensuring the mixture's consistency and quality.
• Adjust machine settings such as temperature, speed, and time to achieve optimal compound properties.
• Material Preparation:
  
• Accurately weigh and measure raw materials, including resins, stabilizers, plasticizers, and other additives.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials to avoid contamination or degradation.
• Monitoring and Control:
  
• Continuously monitor the batch compounding process to ensure proper viscosity, color, and texture of the mixture.
• Check for signs of machine malfunction or inconsistency in the compound, troubleshooting and resolving issues when necessary.
• Quality Control:
  
• Conduct tests on the compounded materials (e.g., viscosity, flow, tensile strength) to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Record and report batch data, including material usage, process parameters, and quality control results.
• Work closely with quality control teams to address any quality issues and maintain consistency across batches.
• Maintenance and Housekeeping:
  
• Perform routine maintenance on kneading machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment by following hygiene and safety protocols.
• Safety Compliance:
  
• Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during the compounding process.
• Ensure that safety equipment (e.g., gloves, goggles, protective clothing) is worn at all times.
• Adhere to environmental regulations regarding the disposal of waste materials.
• Collaboration:
  
• Work with other production staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
• Communicate with supervisors or engineers regarding equipment status, material shortages, or production delays.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 2-5 years of experience in a batch kneader or similar role in polymer compounding, ideally in the cable manufacturing or related industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of polymer science, compounding techniques, and the characteristics of materials used in cable production.
