Job Description
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements for iOS and Android .
- Identify test scenarios for various device types, screen sizes, and operating system versions.
- Prioritize test cases based on risk assessment and project timelines.
- Execute manual test cases on a variety of iOS and Android devices to verify functionality, usability, and compatibility.
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure new features do not impact existing functionalities.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by scripted test cases.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks like Appium to automate repetitive test cases for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
- Log detailed defect reports with clear descriptions, screenshots, and steps to reproduce issues in a defect tracking system.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve identified defects.
- Conduct performance testing to evaluate app responsiveness, load times, battery usage, and memory consumption on various devices.
- Test applications across a wide range of iOS and Android devices, including different screen sizes, resolutions, and operating system versions.
What you will need to succeed
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or related technical field
- Proven practical experience of at least 8 years as a QA Engineer.
- QA knowledge - Design and execute tests according to specs (requirements), report
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and life cycle
- Expertise in manual and automated testing on iOS and Android platforms
- Familiarity with automation frameworks like Appium, Selenium, or other relevant tools
- Knowledge of mobile device capabilities and limitations
- Basic understanding of programming languages like Java or Python (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with developers and stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of mobile testing tools like Firebase Test Lab, Browser Stack, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with API testing concepts
- Experience with performance testing tools (optional)
