Role: BIW Robotic Simulation Engineer

• Development of 3D virtual simulation systems for a variety of applications including Riveting, welding, robots, assembly, conveyance and transfer systems at a program and project level.
• Develop accurate simulation software studies so as to verify the effectiveness of proposed robotic systems and processes
• Provide design evidence of tooling feasibility, dynamic clearance and assembly sequence evaluation.
• Work on operator / robot interface Risk Assessment, Safety & CE Risk Assessment.
• Driving and understanding customer specifications both corporate and plant
• Responsible for technical solution meeting customer quality and volume requirements.
• Ability to review, document issues and implement effective solutions.
• Work with the project team to create lead and project timelines for simulation design tasks from critical project milestones provided by project management.
• Good technical knowledge of automotive Sheet metal closure parts, manufacturing and assembly -process.
• Compiling robot OLPs from the simulation files.
• Uploading OLPs to robots and setting payload and offset data.
• Working with Robot suppliers to resolve Robot Tech Package compatibility challenges.
• Stepping robots through their OLP’s and making corrections.
• Expert in creating Kinematic Models from Processes for simulating various scenarios for robots.
