Bachelor s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a relatedfield NIFT/PEARL/NID
Experience upto 8 years in fashion design, with at least 3 years in a managerialor leadership role
Strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of design principles,creative direction, and trend forecasting
Proven experience in managing and developing a design team
Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and the productionprocess
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Proficiency in design software (eg, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity withCAD is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projectssimultaneously
Strong business acumen with an understanding of market positioning andbrand strategy
Design Strategy and Vision:
Develop and execute the creative direction for seasonal collections inline with the brand s identity and market trends
Conduct trend analysis and competitor research to inform designconcepts and strategies
Collaborate with the merchandising, sales marketing, and productionteams to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels
Team Leadership Development:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, providing guidancethroughout the design process
Manage the workflow and productivity of the design team, setting clearobjectives and timelines
Execute timely on seasonal calendar deadlines
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and supportthe professional growth of team members
Product Development:
Oversee the development of mood boards, sketches, fabric selection,and color palettes for each collection
Ensure that designs are innovative, marketable, and aligned withcurrent trends while staying true to the brand s DNA
Work closely with the technical design team to ensure that designs aretranslated accurately into production-ready samples
Responsible for creating detailed techpacks that illustrate design andconstruction details
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with production and sourcing teams to ensure timelydevelopment of prototypes and final products
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling visualcontent that aligns with the design vision for campaigns and lookbooks
Work with the sales and merchandising teams to understand customerneeds and market performance to inform future collections
Quality Control Brand Consistency:
Ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained in all designoutputs
Maintain consistency in design aesthetics, ensuring each piece alignswith the overall brand strategy
Monitor the development and production process to ensure all designsmeet cost, fit, and quality standards
