System Engineer (2-3 yrs)

Summary of the Role :

We are seeking a versatile and skilled System Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to handle system management, DevOps practices, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in system administration, email management, DevOps tools, vendor management, and software project administrative tasks.

They will also assist in employee onboarding and exit processes while leveraging tools like JIRA for efficient collaboration and project tracking.

Key Responsibilities :

- System Administration : Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications to ensure optimal performance and security.

- Email Management : Configure and maintain email services, including user account creation, group management, and troubleshooting issues with platforms like Microsoft Exchange or Google Workspace.

- Infrastructure Management : Design and optimize scalable system architectures on-premises or in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Network Configuration : Set up and troubleshoot network systems, including routers, firewalls, and VPNs.

- CI/CD Implementation : Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.

- Containerization : Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

- Utilize JIRA for project tracking, issue management, and maintaining transparency across teams.

- Work closely with development teams to integrate systems and deploy applications.

- Document processes, workflows, and system configurations for better knowledge sharing and compliance.

Vendor Management :

- Manage relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors, including procurement, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.

- Ensure timely renewals of software licenses, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 2-3 years of experience in system engineering or related roles.

- Proficiency in managing Linux and Windows environments.

- Experience with email system management (Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace, or similar platforms).

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins (added advantage).

- Familiarity with JIRA for project and task management.

- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (Good to have).

- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

- Experience in vendor management and contract handling.

- Ability to manage employee lifecycle tasks, including onboarding and exits.

- Excellent organizational and documentation skills-.
